Embedding disability inclusion across the education sector planning cycle

Inclusive education systems require planning approaches that embed disability inclusion across every stage of the cycle, from analysis and strategy to budgeting and monitoring. Yet in many contexts, sector plans treat disability as a peripheral issue, resulting in commitments that remain aspirational rather than actionable.

Join our upcoming webinar and delve into recent advancements and challenges in disability-inclusive sector planning. Participants will be guided through the full planning cycle, from sector analysis and policy design to financing, implementation, and monitoring, showing how inclusion can be built in at every stage.

The webinar will bring together the technical lead on Education Sector Planning from IIEP-UNESCO in Africa, a Ministry of Education representative from Senegal, and a civil society representative from Sierra Leone, for an interactive exchange on how to make education systems more inclusive through stronger, equity-focused planning This is the second webinar hosted by the Community of Practice on Disability-Inclusive Education Sector Planning (CoP-DIESP) as part of the regional programme Planning for inclusive education, funded by the Italian cooperation through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).

Please note that international sign language interpretation will be available during this webinar.
